Background: Helminthiasis remains a public health concern, particularly in areas with high environmental health risks, such as residential areas surrounding the Bakung Landfill (TPA Bakung).

Purpose: To determine the relationship between parental knowledge of helminth infections and compliance with anthelmintic administration to children at SDN 1 Bakung.

Method: This quantitative observational study employed a cross-sectional design and was conducted in May 2026. A total of 70 respondents were selected using simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses, with the Chi-square test used to assess the relationship between variables.

Results: Most respondents were female (88.6%) and aged 36–45 years (47.1%). The majority had good knowledge of helminth infections (52.9%) and demonstrated compliance with anthelmintic administration (65.7%). Bivariate analysis revealed a statistically significant relationship between parental knowledge and compliance with anthelmintic administration (p = 0.001).

Conclusion: Parental knowledge of helminth infections was significantly associated with compliance with anthelmintic administration to elementary school children. Regular health education should be strengthened to support parental compliance with anthelmintic administration.
